Official name and history
The official registered business name is Ridgepath Naval Architecture Engineering School Ltd. The school was established in 2011 when a small group of draughtspeople and survey-minded tutors rented teaching space on Fletchamstead Highway to run evening classes in lines plans and small-craft arrangement.
Early cohorts were yacht owners and yard assistants who needed structured critique rather than informal pub advice. By 2015 the diploma year took shape: three terms, capped places, and a portfolio review tied to junior draughting expectations. Short courses in hull form and marine structures followed for people who already work around boats but want clearer geometry and framing judgement.
Today Ridgepath remains a teaching studio. We do not operate a shipyard or sell construction packages. Our work is education, mentoring, and CPD for learners across the United Kingdom who can reach Coventry for studio days.
