Refund and cancellation policy
This policy applies to educational programmes, open day reservations, CPD workshops, and mentoring sessions offered by Ridgepath Naval Architecture Engineering School Ltd.
Eligibility overview
Refunds depend on how far in advance you cancel, whether teaching has begun, and whether a deposit was described as non-refundable in your offer letter. Informational website prices are not invoices; the offer letter controls.
Cooling-off for distance bookings
Where United Kingdom consumer cooling-off rights apply to distance contracts for services, you may cancel within fourteen days of accepting an offer, unless you expressly request services to begin during that period. If teaching has begun at your request, we may charge a reasonable amount for sessions already delivered.
Diploma and multi-week programmes
- Cancellation more than twenty-eight days before term start: deposit refundable minus an administration fee stated in the offer (typically up to £150).
- Cancellation fourteen to twenty-eight days before term start: deposit may be retained; remaining prepaid fees refunded.
- Cancellation fewer than fourteen days before term start, or after teaching begins: fees for commenced teaching are non-refundable; unused future terms may be considered for partial credit at Ridgepath’s discretion.
Short courses, intensives, and CPD workshops
Cancellations received at least fourteen days before the first taught day receive a full refund of fees paid, less any non-refundable materials already ordered for you. Inside fourteen days, we offer a transfer to the next equivalent date where places exist; otherwise fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
Mentoring sessions
Reschedule or cancel at least forty-eight hours before the appointment for a full fee transfer or refund of that session. Later cancellations or no-shows are charged in full. Packages of four sessions are refundable only for unused sessions cancelled within the notice period.
Open days
Open day reservations are free. Please cancel if you cannot attend so we can release the slot. Repeated no-shows may limit future reservations.
Non-refundable items
Personal materials purchased by you, third-party exam fees, and field-visit tickets already bought in your name are non-refundable once purchased, unless the supplier refunds Ridgepath.
Work already started
Once studio teaching or a mentoring critique has been delivered for a scheduled slot, that portion of the fee is earned and not refundable.
Deposits
Deposits secure a limited studio place. Their refundability follows the timelines above and the wording in your offer letter.
Rescheduling by Ridgepath
If we cancel a date, you may transfer to a new date or receive a full refund of fees paid for the cancelled portion.
Refund process and timing
Email info@siteridgepath.click or call 0247625309 with your name, programme, and reason. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval.
Exceptions
We may consider extenuating medical or bereavement circumstances with supporting evidence. Discretionary credits do not set a precedent.
